COVID - 19

As a close contact business, Dance Space like other dance studios around the world, has been severely affected by Covid.  Dance studios are some of the first to close and last to open when levels change and are unable to spread the love for dance under these conditions.

To ensure we can open and be a safe space for our Teachers, Students and Parents we will be following the Government’s Covid-19 Protection Framework guidelines as a “vaccine only” venue.

We understand and respect everyone's individual opinions on this subject, but feel confident in our decision to keep our Dance Family as safe as we can.

Dance Space will align with the Government guidelines as they change.

We appreciate your kindness and cooperation.

If you have any questions or concerns, please email us, we're happy to help.

DANCE SPACE VACCINE PASSES

Dance Space can open under the Red and Orange settings with vaccine passes and restrictions in place.

Students over the age of 12 years and 3 months and parents or family members over the age of 12 who wish to enter the building must show their Vaccine Pass to be verified.  Passes will be viewed once and expiry date will be stored in the students' profile on the Parent Portal and will only be asked to be viewed again upon expiration.

Dance Space has been preparing for the Red Traffic Light system. We have all our procedures ready ensuring we keep our students and staff safe. Please don’t come to class if you are sick or waiting for a test result.

Unite Against Covid-19

As per government Rules:

At Red there are more mask requirements, and reduced gathering limits to lower the risk of picking up the virus and super spreader events.

Red is not “Lockdown”. Our goal at Red is to slow the spread of Omicron.

Businesses stay open and you can do most of the things that you normally do, including visiting family and friends and traveling around the country. There are no regional boundaries.

Here’s what you can do:

~ Get a booster dose if you’re over 18 and it has been 4 months since your last dose.

~ Wear a face covering whenever you leave the house.

~ Make sure you have your My Vaccine Pass ready to be scanned – most places will have restrictions in place.

~ Keep scanning QR codes everywhere you go with the NZ COVID Tracer app.

~ Keep physically distanced where possible.

~ If you have cold or flu symptoms, isolate immediately, and call Healthline for advice about a test.

~ Workplaces remain open but where a workplace deems it appropriate, they may choose to have employees work from home.

~ Schools and early learning centers will be open –extra public health measures including mask wearing for everyone from year four and     up. It is our intention for schools to return as planned.

~ Retail is open with public health measures in place. Some businesses may choose to have a My Vaccine Pass requirement.

~ With My Vaccine Pass, public facilities, close customer contact business, hospitality and gyms are open.

~ With My Vaccine Pass, you can have gatherings of up to 100 people, based on the size of the venue (including private social gatherings at home).
